Hey! I’m Laura, I strive to connect people and to create awareness of the endless diversity of possibilities by offering a space to discover oneself and the others by learning with, through and from each other.

I was born in Germany but grew up in Belgium and currently live in the Netherlands, where I graduated from the Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts in Tilburg in 2023. Since 2024, I’m also a certified Bodymotion Pilates trainer.

Ever since I learned to use my hands, I’ve loved creating things, making up stories, and moving through imaginary worlds. After school, however, I started to study physics, and later on mathematics and biology. Even though I was fascinated by what I was doing, I realized after a few years that something was missing: working with people and the opportunity to express myself, which I could do most freely through art. This was the turning point in my life when I made dance my profession and discovered what it had already been giving me all these years.

Through dance, I became the person I am today. For me, dance has always been a medium of expression and communication, which also gives me the opportunity to understand life in all its richness. I firmly believe that dance is a natural extension of our intuitive movement and physical expression. Something so personal, it transcends form. In my belief, dance brings us not only into contact with our own body, the movement, and the music, but also with the outside world and the people around us.

During my dance studies, I fell in love with the art of spontaneous dance, sharing, and connecting. I began to deepen my knowledge in Flying Low and Passing Through, two parts of David Zambrano's work, which are a great inspiration to me. I’ve already attended several intensives, and his teachings continue to influence both my dance and improvisation practice, as well as the way I implement connection in my own teaching.
